- אַמְפְּלַי, אַמְפֹּולַי, אַנְפְּלַי, אִינְפֹּולַיf. (נָפַל; cmp. אוּנְקְלַי as to form) the merchants money-chest into which receipts are dropped through a slit. Shebu.VII, 6 (45a) אמפלי Mish. Nap.
